Its name witnesses the ancient feudal origin, as property of Vicedomini Family. It is on the hills of the left bank of river Chero; once upon a time a castle named Rocca di Groppo de’ Vicedomini arose and on part of its foundation Monpoupon was built, surrounded by a wide orchard. |
